Personal Project | Microsoft Imagine Cup 2013 submission | PC | Unity
“Limelight” is a Tactical Arena Action Game where players take part in a top-down, fast-paced multiplayer brawl. It’s playable in local multiplayer on PC, using two to four Xbox 360 controllers. Lighting is a very important part of the game, and our main unique selling point. The system works like this:
Each player has its own light that will allow him to see the world’s inhabitants. This means that their light represents their own personal field of vision. However, players won’t be able to see other players or their lights and vice versa without illuminating them with their light first.
We were four students on this project: two game designers and two game artists.
As project manager, it was my duty to take care of the deadlines imposed by Microsoft. I ensured communication between team members. I also worked on all the documentation related to the game : the game concept, the blueprint, the written presentation and the video presentation. I was constantly in contact with Microsoft in order to deliver a game with the level of quality the expected.
As game designer, I helped our main programmer with the AI enemy behaviour on C# and debugging. Futhermore, I worked on the Level Design and the multiplayer aspect of the game : balancing, tweaking, in-game economy etc.

Currently, we only have a prototype of the game. However, the documents requested by Microsoft are available on this page.
Blueprint : This is a 6-page document I wrote detailing our game and our market study (business model, target audience etc).
Written Presentation : This is a Powerpoint presentation in 15 slides explaining our game and our main mechanics.
